Abstract:	The objective of this research is to find out whether or not mind mapping technique is  effective to improve students' reading comprehension in teaching descriptive text. The writer used quantitative research design. The analysis data using SPSS. From the result of statistic calculation, showed that teaching reading comprehension through mind mapping technique is effective.
