Abstract
The current issues in learning new language is lack of vocabularies, besides the use of media in learning also has an effect on students' interest in learning. The objectives of this research were to describe the process of developing narrative text reading material through contextual teaching assisted by quizizz, The student responses, and researcher obstacles during developing narrative text reading material through contextual teaching assisted by quizizz. This research used research and development method which data collected through observation, document, questionnaire and field note. The primary participants of the research were two class consisting of 40 students from eight grade students at one junior high school in Pabuaran. This research found three findings. First, based on the investigation, the process of developing narrative text reading material through contextual teaching assisted by quizizz run well. Second is students’ responses toward developing narrative text reading material through contextual teaching assisted by quizizz had a very positive responses of students’. Third , the researcher obstacle found during developing narrative text reading material through contextual teaching assisted by quizizz is a reliable internet connection, limited feature of quizziz, and students felt boring and lazy during learning process. Therefore, this research recommended for English teacher to teach reading using contextual teaching assisted by quizizz to help in learning reading properly
