Abstract:	To understand meaning of the text is closely related to translating ability and this ability needs to supported by comprehending grammar. The objective of the research entitled "correlation between grammar mastery and translation". Researcher used quantitative design and correlation method. Based on the results of the research finding, the researcher analyzed that the correlation is positive. The researcher concluded that the alternative hypothesis proposed in this research is accepted. It means that grammar mastery and translating ability is correlated.
