| Abstract: | The objective of this paper were to find out the students' error in translating english letter and to find out the reason of making errors in translating english letter. This paper used qualitative method. The result of data analysis showed that there is mistranslation which is caused by the insufficient knowledge on grammar, unappropriate arrangement and insufficient vocabulary. The reasons of making errors are the students' ineterst in english is low and the intensity of exercise in translating. The result of the research shows that the students mostly did not have good capability in translating letter. |
