| Abstract: | The objective of this study entitled “Teaching English Listening Skill Using Super Simple Songs Technique” is to reveal whether or not using super simple songs technique in teaching listening could improve studentsR23; listening skill. This research using quantitative method and quasi-experimental design. The technique of collecting data in this research is test. The test is consisted of two test; Pre-test and Post-test design. The writer used pretest and posttest as the instrument and to analyze the data, the writer used t-test formula. The populations of this research were students at the second grade of MI CAHAYA. The sample is the second class who consist of 50 students. The data of this research were collected by giving pretest and posttest to the studentsR23; sample. The collected data was analyzed by using SPSS 22.0 statistic software. The results of the data analysis showed that: the mean score of experimental class is 26.88 and control class is 15.44. The t value is 3.667, the critical values with degree of freedom (df) 48 and level of significance at 5 % (0.05) was 1.684. Based on the data analysis above the alternative hypothesis is accepted because the tobt served was higher than critical values (3.667 >1.684). It also meant that teaching English listening skill using super simple songs technique improve the studentsR23; listening ability. |
