Abstract
This research is about "Implementation of the Ummi Method in Improving the Koran Reading Ability of Children at the Baitussalam Plus Islamic Kindergarten in Kuningan District". The aim is to describe and analyze the planning, implementation, results, and supporting factors and obstacles in the implementation of the ummi method learning
process in the Baitussalam Plus Islamic Kindergarten in Kuningan Regency. The literature review underlying this research includes: Basic Concepts of Growth; Concept of Early Childhood Education Learning; The Concept of the Ummi Method; Learning to read the Koran as a form of learning education outside of school; and Study Results that are Relevant with the Research conducted. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, documentation, and library. The subjects in this study were students and students as well as parents / guardians of the students of Baitussalam Plus Islamic Kindergarten in Kuningan Regency. Data obtained from the results of the study indicate that the Baitussalam Kuningan District Kindergarten in the implementation of the ummi method program has carried out the learning process with steps: ummi method learning planning consisting of: formulation of ummi method learning objectives through the delivery of teaching materials, learning media and scoring systems. The implementation of learning is carried out through practice, the implementation of this planning begins with training
in correct achievement. The results of implementing the Ummi method program have been carried out quite well. Ummi's method program has had a positive impact in improving the reading ability of the children's quran in Baitussalam Plus Islamic Kindergarten in Kuningan Regency even though it is still faced with factors of obstacles or difficulties related to child development. Planning in the ummi method learning process is carried out well in accordance with the objectives. In implementing the learning process, educators and students have carried out the learning process quite well. The results have been felt well, so that human resource development can be achieved. Researchers provide recommendations to teachers, so teachers have the ability to
understand the psychology of students, so that the implementation of learning becomes more successful by being characterized by better student learning activities.
