Abstract:	The aim of this research is to find the kinds of figurative language and the influence of using figurative language to develop the intrinsic elements. As the result of the analysis, the writer concludes that the figurative language that used in the novel were simile 82 sentences, metaphor 55 sentences, hyperbole 56 sentences and personification 18 sentences.
