PENINGKATAN KOMPETENSI TUTOR PENDIDIKAN KESETARAAN BERBASIS PERTANIAN DI DESA CIREJAG KECAMATAN JATISARI KABUPATEN KARAWANG
Problems that exist with tutors at PKBM Sanggar Juang, Cirejag Village, include: 1) limited
knowledge in providing learning skills in agriculture; and 2) lack of knowledge in English
learning methods as one of the important subjects in the current era of globalization. Meanwhile,
problems for farmers and residents of Cirejag Village include the lack of community knowledge
and skills about agricultural technology that can be used to increase their farming business and
income. Community service activities are carried out through tutor training aimed at improving
the competence of equivalence education tutors by providing training in several types of skills in
agriculture and training in English learning methods. Tutor training activities are carried out
using a Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) approach or learning by doing. The result of this
activity is the increasing competence of tutors in English learning methods and several types of
skills in agriculture and other skills. Based on the results of these activities, it can be concluded
that community service activities through tutor training in Cirejag Village have increased the
competence of agricultural-based equivalence education tutors and increased the knowledge
and skills of the community
