Abstract:	This paper describes the occurrence of symbolic violence in the language of song lyrics. Some songs are analyzed in this paper are the song of the band called the changcuter. With a critical discourse analysis, symbolic violence is reflected in this song, especially the marginalization of female objects. The man described as the strong domination in the form of patriarchal power in giving women a bad image. Text of songs, in this context was used as propaganda for the poor development of women characters. Through the discourse analysis, it is concluded that the cangcuter song lyrics has done symbolic violence by placing women - asa toxic world, dreamers of men, and hunted men. The depiction of women in this position is symbolically resulted in gap of understanding on the one hand and ideology on the other hand the changcuter band's songs placed women as the sex objects.
